Tom Murphy Bio (Owner)
Tom Murphy is a highly accomplished contractor with a diverse background in all phases of property maintenance and facilities management. He obtained training from Los Angeles Trade Technical College and ITC College of Los Angeles. Receiving certification in:
- Electrical
- Plumbing & High Pressure Boilers
- Motor Controls
- HVAC
- OSHA
- Building Owners Management Association (BOMA)
With over many years of experience, Tom has worked with prestigious companies such as Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Resort in California, a Five Star Hotel, where he gained invaluable knowledge in managing various aspects of property maintenance and facilities management.
Tom’s journey eventually led him back to his Pittsburgh roots, where he joined the Senator John Heinz History Center, a Smithsonian Affiliate, as the Director of Facilities Management. In this role, he was responsible for managing the building infrastructure, including maintenance, security, risk management, and construction planning for multiple museum properties. Tom ultimately achieved a USGS LEED Gold Building Certification, which is a testament to his expertise and dedication to sustainability.
Tom is a member of several professional associations that keep him up-to-date on the latest emerging technologies and best practices in the industry.
